# Adapt the shape, not the facts

AI Content Creation | Module 14: Repurpose without losing the message

## Your goal

Change structure to suit the format and reading situation.

A video needs timed beats. An email needs a subject and a clear action. A carousel needs a sequence. Copying the same paragraph into all three wastes the strengths of each format.

Keep an adaptation table with format, opening, details, and action. Review the table horizontally to catch contradictions between versions.

A shorter format may point to a fuller source for details. Make that destination clear, and do not remove a condition that changes the meaning of the offer.

## Source pack

FICTIONAL PRACTICE BRIEF: Green Bench is a student repair club. It runs a free notebook-cover repair workshop on Saturday, 14:00 to 16:00, in Room B. There are 12 places. Learners bring one worn notebook; tools and scrap card are provided. Register using the club form. No date, form URL, access arrangements, impact figures, or testimonials have been supplied. Ask the organiser about missing details before publishing. This is a creative exercise, not a real event.

## Worked example

Adapt the same invitation into a short post and a video ending.

### Short post

Worn notebook? Join a free cover repair workshop on Saturday, 14:00 to 16:00, Room B. Bring one notebook and register through the club form.

### Video ending

Final card: Saturday, 14:00 to 16:00, Room B. Voice: Bring one worn notebook. Register through the club form before attending.

### Consistency review

Both versions preserve the event details and what to bring. Confirm the date and form destination before release.

## Your work

Adapt the same invitation into a short post and a video ending.

### Short post

Write at least 8 words.

### Video ending

Write at least 8 words.

### Consistency review

Write at least 8 words.

## Review your work

- [ ] The structure fits each format.
- [ ] The essential facts agree.
- [ ] A shortened version does not change the offer.

Completeness checks do not assess creative quality or factual accuracy. Review the actual work yourself or with a mentor.
