# Record, clean, and transcribe

AI Content Creation | Module 13: Create audio people can follow

## Your goal

Review intelligibility and document the source of a voice.

A quiet room and consistent microphone distance can help more than heavy processing. Record a short test, listen back, and adjust before recording the whole piece.

Use your own voice or a voice you have clear permission to use. Do not imitate a real person as if they endorsed the message. If you use a synthetic voice, record that choice and check the tool and publishing rules.

Correct an automatic transcript by listening to the final audio. Include meaningful sounds and speaker changes. A script alone may not match what was actually recorded.

## Source pack

FICTIONAL PRACTICE BRIEF: Green Bench is a student repair club. It runs a free notebook-cover repair workshop on Saturday, 14:00 to 16:00, in Room B. There are 12 places. Learners bring one worn notebook; tools and scrap card are provided. Register using the club form. No date, form URL, access arrangements, impact figures, or testimonials have been supplied. Ask the organiser about missing details before publishing. This is a creative exercise, not a real event.

## Worked example

Write an audio production and transcript review plan.

### Recording plan

Record a ten-second test in a quiet room with my own voice, then listen for background noise and unclear event details.

### Voice record

Use my own narration for this practice asset. If I use synthetic narration later, document the tool and the permission basis.

### Transcript review

Listen to the final recording while correcting the transcript, including the room name, time, and any meaningful speaker changes.

## Your work

Write an audio production and transcript review plan.

### Recording plan

Write at least 8 words.

### Voice record

### Transcript review

## Review your work

- [ ] I planned a short recording test.
- [ ] The voice source and permission are clear.
- [ ] The transcript will match the final audio.

Completeness checks do not assess creative quality or factual accuracy. Review the actual work yourself or with a mentor.
