# Write for spoken delivery

AI Content Creation | Module 13: Create audio people can follow

## Your goal

Make a script sound natural when it is read aloud.

Listeners cannot scan backwards as easily as readers. Use short sentences, clear transitions, and familiar words. Say important details in a form that is easy to hear.

Read 14:00 to 16:00 as two to four in the afternoon when appropriate for the audience. Keep the written event record unchanged so the meaning remains traceable.

Mark pauses and pronunciation notes in the production script. Remove those notes from the audience transcript unless they describe a meaningful sound.

## Source pack

FICTIONAL PRACTICE BRIEF: Green Bench is a student repair club. It runs a free notebook-cover repair workshop on Saturday, 14:00 to 16:00, in Room B. There are 12 places. Learners bring one worn notebook; tools and scrap card are provided. Register using the club form. No date, form URL, access arrangements, impact figures, or testimonials have been supplied. Ask the organiser about missing details before publishing. This is a creative exercise, not a real event.

## Worked example

Adapt the workshop invitation for a spoken announcement.

### Spoken script

Bring a worn notebook to our free repair workshop this Saturday. We meet from two to four in the afternoon in Room B.

### Delivery notes

Pause after the first sentence. Say Room B clearly, then explain that tools and scrap card are provided.

### Accuracy check

The spoken time means the same as 14:00 to 16:00. Confirm the exact date before making a public recording.

Completeness checks do not assess creative quality or factual accuracy. Review the actual work yourself or with a mentor.
