# Keep a small design system

AI Content Creation | Module 11: Design a readable content pack

## Your goal

Reuse a few rules across related assets.

Choose a small set of type sizes, colours, and spacing rules. Repeating them helps a poster, carousel, and thumbnail feel connected without making every layout identical.

Record what stays fixed and what can change. The heading style and colours may stay fixed while the image crop changes for a different shape.

Export a draft, reopen it, and inspect the actual file. Check cropping, missing letters, and small details. Keep editable originals so revisions remain easy.

## Source pack

FICTIONAL PRACTICE BRIEF: Green Bench is a student repair club. It runs a free notebook-cover repair workshop on Saturday, 14:00 to 16:00, in Room B. There are 12 places. Learners bring one worn notebook; tools and scrap card are provided. Register using the club form. No date, form URL, access arrangements, impact figures, or testimonials have been supplied. Ask the organiser about missing details before publishing. This is a creative exercise, not a real event.

## Worked example

Write a mini design guide and an export check.

### Shared rules

Use a cream background, dark green text, one clear heading style, and consistent space around every content block.

### Adaptation rule

Keep the heading and event details consistent while changing the image crop for a portrait poster or square social tile.

### Export check

Open each exported draft, inspect the text and crop at normal viewing size, and keep the editable source alongside it.

## Your work

Write a mini design guide and an export check.

### Shared rules

Write at least 8 words.

### Adaptation rule

Write at least 8 words.

### Export check

Write at least 8 words.

## Review your work

- [ ] The rules are specific enough to reuse.
- [ ] I allowed the format to change sensibly.
- [ ] I included an actual export review.

Completeness checks do not assess creative quality or factual accuracy. Review the actual work yourself or with a mentor.
